Capilene 3 represents the evolution of Patagonia's mid-weight performance Baselayers. Capilene is a super-versatile, warm, wicking and breathable baselayer made from 50% + recycled polyester, derived in roughly equal measure from soda bottles and discarded fabrics. Through this excellent use of recycled materials, the product is fully 100% recyclable. This environmental aspect is at the very heart of everything that Patagonia does. Capilene has always worked with excellent levels of wicking and quick drying performance. Capilene keeps you warm in the winter and remains incredibly comfortable regardless of your activity. Performance levels have been increased by the introduction of Gladiodor natural odor control system. Unlike the silver ion elements used by other companies to elimate odor, Gladiodor is based on naturally derived amino acid chains that effectively kills smelly bacteria and is perfectly safe to us humans and has no polluting effects on our environment. Being machine washable, durable, comfortable and environmentally secure, it's no wonder Capilene is such a highly regarded layering system.
