 SNO!storm at SNO!Zone Braehead

1st February 2008

Friday February the 1st sees the hotly anticipated return of SNO!storm, SNO!zone Scotland’s quarterly Freestyle and Music event. Following on from the success of our recent run of big show-piece features we'll be building, for your shredding pleasure, a massive kicker and epic quarter pipe to compliment the top line-up of rails, boxes and jibs. Up to 20 features will pack the slope and all levels are catered for with the nursery slope being transformed into a rookie park with free coaching.

2008 brings a new slope focus to SNO!storm and to kick this off we’ll be locating the decks, along with a full sound and light rig, on a special snow platform right in the midst of the on-piste action. Not only that, but we’ve got two of Scotland’s top turntablists spinning for your listening (and viewing) pleasure!

Richie Rufftone has won the Scottish DMC Scratch Championships five times and has previously been crowned the ITF Scratch Champion of Europe. He’ll be cutting up a funky, hiphop-infused mix of the freshest tunes around with a good measure of scratching thrown in to boot. Check out his skills here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW3vBiFPgB8

The tough job of supporting Richie goes to one of Scotland’s best up and coming DJ’s. Since growing up with British Freestyle Team member Angus Leith in and around the Aviemore snowboarding scene, DJ P-Haze has moved south and his eclectic, genre-busting sets have seen him pick up a back room residency at Xplicit, Scotland’s Biggest DnB night, along with a recent sponsorship from Skull Candy Headphones.

Once the action starts to wind up out on the piste we’ll be bringing the party in to the warmth of the SNO!bar and stepping up the pace till the wee small hours. You’ll be able to refuel with some food from our chef and quench your thirst with one of our superb drink offers. Little rippers need fear not, they too can grab a burger from our food stall and check out the latest DVD’s down in Rental.

If that’s not enough to whet your appetite then we’ve got tonnes of t-shirts, hoodies, mix CD’s, DVD’s, Kerrang tour tickets, energy drinks, headphones and other goodies to dish out throughout the night, provided kindly by our partners Skull Candy, Relentless, Rossignol, TSA & Ellis Brigham.

Tickets are only £35 for 5 hours on the slope (£28 for juniors!) we’re giving you more shred for your money! If 5 hours seems like too much of a good thing then why not go for 2 at a cool £25 (£20 for juniors). To book or for more info check out www.snozoneuk.com or call 08712225672. (Prebooking is strongly advised)
