1. Name? Marc-André Tarte
2. Starsign? I'm right on the bo[a]rder of two, Gemini and Taurus, I think I'm more Taurus
3. Do you believe in that crap? I like the idea but don't know enough about it.
4. How many years have you been riding? 12 years skiing and 10 years snowboardriding.
5. Where do you ride nowadays - and who with? I'm back from Russia and off to NZ. Both places I've never been before. Stoked!
6. Where's better - Europe or the States? By far Europe, but States has better parks.
7. What type of riding do you do and why? I try to push myself, because it's fun, puts a real smile on my face at the end of the day.
8. Sponsors? VÖLKL snowboards, WESTBEACH clothing, ADIDAS eyewear, SP boots & bindings.
9. What board do you ride? The blue Völkl Squad lately, I usually ride about a 160cm.
10. Done any Videos this year? Sort of, but I did not film much, lots of comps. Looking forward to more backcountry soon.
11. Favourite video part ever? The first Peter Line, Jamie Lynn, Terje Håkenson parts. Istill remember the, "I wish that Iwas Elvis, and all the girls in all the world would treat me like a superstar", Stomping Grounds was great motivation for me.
12. Favourite Snowboard Magazine?  I've enjoyed Snowboard Canada lots over the years.
13. Comps or mags and film? Everything...
14. Best trick? Getting back to nature and away from it all by living in your truck.
15. Where did you grow up? In the country, where people say hello to each other.
16. Whats the worst thing you ever did at School? Ha, that would be when we sneaked into the gym in grade school, shot each other with the fire extinguishers and ran off with them. In high school, spray painted our beloved directors name followed by bitch on a main garbage container. In college, Istarting rebelling towards being too cool for school. My parents never heard about the spraypaint thing... I was a sneaky little fücker.
17. Have you ever been arrested - and what for? A few times, once in the States for being drunk in public, spent new year [of the Millennium] in the Whistler drunk-tank after breaking a tree (not on purpose). Otherwise I always got away...sneaky little fücker, remember?
18. Ever been caught in a compromising situation and if so what? Sexually or what? (avoiding Q)
19. Do you remember your first day riding? Yep, was on a black snow, mogul monster, and went straight down a small hill.
20. Is your cup half full or half empty? Full of course you stupid fücker...
21. Who do you like most in snowboarding and why? Whoever has fun and pushes themselves...
22. Who do you dislike most in Snowboarding and why? The people who make stupid interviews.
23. Who are you jealous of? People who are always at peace with themselves, and people with musical talents.
24. Football ­ yes/no? Love to play it! Should do it more...
25. How many years have you been riding now? 10
26. Do you really wish that you were a good skater instead of a good snowboarder? Yes, I always liked figure skating.
27. Whats the gayest* sport you have done and enjoyed? No sports are gay, just the people who judge them, and sometimes do them!
28. Which super hero are you most like and why? Wolverine, so cool!
29. What do you have an irrational hatred of? All my hatreds are rational. I've developed rationalizing.
30. How many times have you been injured due to snowboarding? How many times does the pope say amen?
31. Which would you rather;
a) Never ride powder again or never have a good shit again? I've had lots of great shits and not so much great powder!
b) Be beaten to death by your own arm or get runover by a steam-roller? Arm, by far...
c) Get a bikini wax or go out with a bearded lady? Bikini wax, no hairballs after making out.
d) Snog your mum or lick a tramp's balls? The word snog does not exist in Canada.
32. What would you be doing if you were not snowboarding? Learning to live without material possessions some where far away - where they have not heard of Coca-Cola or MacDonalds.
33. Do you work? What do you do? I plan my travels, comps, organize media...it does not sound like much but I find myself quite busy, being my own boss has both advantages and problems, I get to work when I want, but I'm a workaholic.
34. Do your parents wish you would get "a real job"?
Nah, but what's a real job eh?
35. Song which would be the soundtrack of your life? Velocity, from Face to Face's second album, big choice, maybe...well, anyway, I really like it, it's my motivation song.
36. Nightrider/A-Team/Airwolf/Dukes of Hazard? All of the above.
37. Favourite things at TSA? Hopefully getting free stuff.
38. Lastly, what's your favourite cheese? It depends, I use Mozzarella lots, Edam, Blue, Brie...
