WHAT WE SAY:
Sean’s board has undergone a complete revamp this year, with a new blunt tip and tail shape and all new flat profile it pushes DWD to a new level of performance. The Genovese is aimed at riders who are looking for an urban jib board but still want the control and response to tackle the whole mountain. By utilising a flat profile rather than the more common rocker, Sean has managed to combine the looser more skate like feel of a jib board without sacrificing the power that is needed to step up to bigger and better things. If you want a board that stands you out from the crowd then the Genovese is the board for you.
WHAT THEY SAY:
I couldn’t decide between a reverse camber and a regular camber. I love them both. Reverse camber is good for landing in powder, and also for pressing through kink rails... yet on the hard pack can prove less reliable while holding an edge. Flat camber is the middle of the road for me. In addition to the change in the camber profile, we've changed the grade of the weave on the top fiberglass layer. The new grade will make it slightly stiffer torsionally so that it will hold a better edge, while the tip to tail flex will stay the same, making it a board that I can ride for everything.
