FREERIDE SNOWBOARDS

Freeride boards are designed to deliver performance both on the piste and in deep snow. They are generally fully directional in both shape and flex and the binding position is normally set back to let the slightly wider nose come up in powder snow and also give more drive through the stiffer tail of the board when turning.

The Freeride board is normally a little stiffer than its freestyle counterpart as most freeriders are looking for more performance at higher speeds. Freeride boards due to the shape offer more stability at higher speeds and are designed to deliver unrivalled performance when carving on piste.

Although freeride boards are happy going off jumps their shape and profile doesn’t really lend itself to riding rails and boxes. As with freestyle boards Freeride boards come in rocker, camber and hybrid profiles but will generally have some form of camber built into the profile to give that added bit of performance.
