Over the past few years urban rail riding and mountain jibbing has evolved beyond all recognition. Those super-soft boards that were once the go to choice for park riders, just wouldn't be able to hack it in today's world. Gaps have gotten bigger, stair sets steeper and rails longer, meaning that today's urban snowboarder needs more power, more control and more response.

Step forward Bataleon's Global Warmer.

Probably the first board to cater for this new generation of rider, the GW pretty much invented the market for high performance jib boards. Built around a balanced twin tip shape, it gives all the control you could ever need. Match that with the Twin 3BT base profile which features a super stable wider centre base flat section and narrower low uplift side base sections in both the nose and tail, and what you have is a super predictable and playful shape that not only dominates urban terrain but which can also step it up when you want to ride the rest of the mountain.

Now as with all 3BT boards, the Global Warmer utilises a traditional camber profile, albeit in this case a more mellow jib version. So, although the board is playful it's also got extra pop through the length ensuring that you've got power on tap whenever you need it.

Internally the GW combines a durable poplar and beech wood core with structural layers formed from a torsionally softer Bi-Ax glass laminate. This combination gives a lively ride, but doesn't sacrifice that softer torsional flex that riders like for locking on rail tricks. However, the Global Warmer's secret weapon is the addition of horizontal carbon stringers either side of the insert pack, these bring the board alive by adding extra power and pop under the bindings.

Finally the Super Slick X Base steps up the molecular density of the base material, giving a faster glide and increased durability all without giving up that easy repair convenience that only extruded bases give you.
