No matter whether you're charging the piste, playing around in the park or dropping back country powder lines, the Whatever's versatile performance takes it all easily in its stride. As the little brother to the acclaimed Goliath, it shares the same shape and profile, but pulls back the performance a notch creating a more playful all-terrain ride that is perfect for anyone this still wants a board that can push them to their limits but who prefer that more mellow easy-going feel.

Built around what could best be described as a slightly directional twin shape, the Whatever's freestyle credentials are clear to see. But what sets this board apart from others in its class and helps the Whatever take that leap from versatile freestyle board to all-terrain destroyer is the addition of the unique 3rd generation TBT base profile. This innovative design integrates the all-new Sidekicks technology into the Freestyle TBT profile. By adding additional side-base uplift zones at the widest part of the nose and tail, Bataleon have transformed how the board rides. Turns are engaged instantly, lift at the nose increased in powder, in fact the whole riding experience is improved. In addition, it also creates a more defined division between the side base uplift and the flat centre base sections, ensuring that you get even better performance from the TBT profile without compromising any of that easy to ride nature that makes Triple Base so popular.

But, it's not just the shape that has changed for 17/18,Bataleon have also taken the opportunity to add an all new construction to the Whatever, stepping up performance even further. Heading this up is the responsive Reactor bamboo core. This lively wood core combines poplar with bamboo stringers running tip to tail along the edges, creating a lively ride but also stepping up response and increasing edge hold and drive. Now to give the Whatever its more playful nature, the structural layers are formed from torsionally softer Bi-Ax-glass. But don't worry this doesn't mean it's a noodle. By inserting a carbon beam running between the binding inserts, you still get a ton of pop through the length ensuring that you can still bomb the whole mountain. Finally, the super-fast low maintenance Super Slick X base gives great glide in all conditions.
