Step On® boots are ONLY compatible with Step On® bindings.
GET OFF THE LIFT, STEP ON AND GO.
After two years of limited availability, Burton has finally released their highly acclaimed Step-On to the general market.
This state of the art boot/binding combination finally offers an effortless entry and exit system that maintains that unique soft boot/binding riding experience but combines it with unprecedented convenience.
Step on is quick and easy, two simple moves get you in, one simple move gets you out.
1) Step down into the binding, the built-in heel cleat on the boot automatically engages with the heel buckle on the highbacks. You’ll hear a series of clicks, that lets you know you’re properly engaged.
2) Once you’ve located the heel, roll your foot to the left the right. This engages the built-in toe cleats on the boot into the Living Hinge Toe Hooks integrated into the baseplate.
You’re now ready to ride!
3) To exit the binding is super simple, just pull up the lever on the highback and simply step out.
KEY STEP ON TECHNOLOGY
Designed using the same principles as locking teeth found in traditional binding buckles, this component features two levels of connection to accommodate for varying accumulations of snow and icepack.
Working in conjunction with the heel cleat as the primary retention system, the heel buckle is designed with the same functionality of a ratchet buckle and features Smooth Glide™ technology to ensure easy engagement.
Located on the toes of each boot's forefoot, toe cleats keep the toes securely fastened in the Step On binding. Dual component design ensures maximum durability.
These hooks found on the toe side of each Step On baseplate lock the toe cleats into place. An integrated living hinge allows riders to engage and exit from the baseplate in one single motion.
The Release Lever is a low-profile, easy-access lever found on the heelcup of the binding. Pull the lever up, let it go, and the boot is released, allowing the rider to step out. The handle automatically resets after you step out, allowing riders to step back on instantaneously.
This ankle strap is built into Step On® boots and allows the rider to adjust heel hold and forward flex stiffness. Controlled by a Boa® dial and Warrantied for Life performance of Burton-exclusive New England Rope laces. Found on high-performance models.
As the best selling boot in the Burton range, the Ruler makes the perfect addition to the StepOn line. Ruler Boa® Step ON Specification:
Boa® Coiler™ with Sequence Technology™ and New England Rope Closure
The single tongue mounted H3+ Coiler is the main closure point for the boot. Geared at a ratio of 4:1, it tightens the boot quickly and effortlessly. To ensure that the closure holds the foot securely the Ruler features the advanced Sequence Technology, this innovative design tensions the laces evenly from the top and bottom of the boot towards the centre of the lace array. This ensures that you get even tension over the whole foot giving the rider increased control and comfort.
New England Ropes are one of the foremost sailing rope manufacturers. Their unrivalled experience in creating ropes to withstand the harshest environments made them the ideal partner for Burton’s exclusive rope Boa closure. Rope laces are stronger than traditional laces and run smoother through the Boa mechanism.
Imprint™ 2 Liner with 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation, Lock-Up Cuff, Hook and Loop Closure
The Imprint 2 Liner has been designed to deliver the perfect balance of performance and comfort. Heading up its state of the art build is the 3M Thinsulate Insulation. This advanced insulation is constructed from unique, high-loft microfibres. These increase warmth without being overly bulky whilst being breathable, water-resistant and durable.
The low-profile Lock-Up inner cuff carries the laces across the forefoot and ankle for ultimate heel hold with effortless entry and exit, while The Hook and Loop closure allow you to obtain a super snug fit on the upper part of the boot, ensuring power transmission to the boot shell is as direct as possible.
The Man Fur finish on the liner not only keeps your dogs your feet warm, but it also adds a plush comfortable feel to the boot.
StepOn® EST®Outsole with Recycled Rubber and Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil,
EST® looks beyond the binding to optimise the interface between the rider and the board. By re-engineering the sole, Burton’s designers have bought the foot closer to the board, creating a more direct connection. Lower profile, lighter weight, and with a reduced ramp angle EST® lowers your centre of gravity and improves feel. To ensure your foot stays, warm, Burton adds their Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil. This innovative heat reflective foil reflects heat back to the feet, improving both warmth and comfort in even the coldest conditions.
1:1 Medium Flex PowerUP Tongue
This dual density tongue construction has been designed to deliver the perfect balance of flex and response. This helps create the ideal feel for both freestyle and cruising whilst also reducing material breakdown and the boot becoming too soft.
Total Comfort Construction
Get an instantly broken-in feel right out of the box. Total Comfort’s industry-exclusive construction eliminates the break-in period for a fit that feels just as good from day 1 to 100.
This reinforced backstay has been developed exclusively for the StepOn® system. Designed to deliver a slightly stiffer flex to offset the effect of the strap being attached to the binding. It also gives a reinforced attachment for the heel cleat.
