Pretty much from the day it was launched the Socialite became one of the most popular boards in the Burton line. Its unique ability to deliver high end performance across the whole mountain, but to still retain a softer and more playful feel, made it the go to choice for those riders who just want great performance without the effort of a traditional high end board.

Built around a freestyle friendly twin tip chassis it utilises Burton's Flat-Top camber profile. This combination of flat under the feet with rocker zones at the contact points delivers a more predictable feel whilst increasing float in the nose. However, because you've still got that extra bit of power between the feet from the flat section of the profile, you don't really compromise the overall performance. This ensures that you get that perfect balance of response and playfulness. Add to this the Off-Axis Frostbite Edges which push the edge profile out under the feet and it easy to see that the Socialite has all the tools in place to deliver a great ride.

Now key to the Socialites success is the boards construction, and it's here where Burton play their trump card. Heading this up is the state of the art SuperFly core which features the advanced Off Axis Squeezebox Low profiling. This unique construction profiles the core along its length but offsets that profiling to align with the rider's body. This increases control, delivering faster and smoother turn initiation and exit. But that's not all. In addition, Burton reduce the core thickness under the feet replacing wood with soft dampening pads and it's this that gives the Socialite it's softer more playful flex. Now to ensure that the board doesn't just flap around, the structural layers are created from Tri-Ax glass. This steps up torsional response, giving the board its responsive ride. Finally, the high-end sintered base gives superb glide in all conditions.
