GET OFF THE LIFT, STEP ON AND GO.

After two years of limited availability, Burton has finally released their highly acclaimed Step-On to the general market.

This state of the art boot/binding combination finally offers an effortless entry and exit system that maintains that unique soft boot/binding riding experience but combines it with unprecedented convenience.

Step on is quick and easy, two simple moves get you in, one simple move gets you out.

1) Step down into the binding, the built-in heel cleat on the boot automatically engages with the heel buckle on the highbacks. You’ll hear a series of clicks, that lets you know you’re properly engaged.

2) Once you’ve located the heel, roll your foot to the left the right. This engages the built-in toe cleats on the boot into the Living Hinge Toe Hooks integrated into the baseplate.

You’re now ready to ride!

3) To exit the binding is super simple, just pull up the lever on the highback and simply step out.

KEY STEP ON TECHNOLOGY

HEEL CLEAT

Designed using the same principles as locking teeth found in traditional binding buckles, this component features two levels of connection to accommodate for varying accumulations of snow and icepack.

HEEL BUCKLE

Working in conjunction with the heel cleat as the primary retention system, the heel buckle is designed with the same functionality of a ratchet buckle and features Smooth Glide™ technology to ensure easy engagement.

TOE CLEATS

Located on the toes of each boot's forefoot, toe cleats keep the toes securely fastened in the Step On binding. Dual component design ensures maximum durability.

TOE HOOKS

These hooks found on the toe side of each Step On baseplate lock the toe cleats into place. An integrated living hinge allows riders to engage and exit from the baseplate in one single motion.

RELEASE LEVER

The Release Lever is a low-profile, easy-access lever found on the heelcup of the binding. Pull the lever up, let it go, and the boot is released, allowing the rider to step out. The handle automatically resets after you step out, allowing riders to step back on instantaneously.

SNUGGER STRAP

This ankle strap is built into Step On® boots and allows the rider to adjust heel hold and forward flex stiffness. Controlled by a Boa® dial and Warrantied for Life performance of Burton-exclusive New England Rope laces. Found on high-performance models.

As the next evolutionary step in the development of snowboarding, Burton’s revolutionary StepOn binding has made us rethink the interface between the rider and the board. Its game-changing effortless entry and exit combined with a ride and feel almost imperceptible from that of a two strap binding make it a no brainer for riders who want to get out on the mountain and ride. Engineered from some of the most advanced materials available, the StepOn’s unique feature-packed design and construction isn’t just about that quick entry and exit, it’s also all about delivering great response and great control.

Burton StepOn® Specification:

30% Short Glass/Nylon Composite Re:Flex Baseplate

One material throughout the whole baseplate creates a consistent response and feel across all kinds of terrain. With a blend of 30% short-glass/nylon composite, the baseplate delivers the ideal balance of control and response with freestyle friendly feel. With a minimized, cored baseplate and Living Hinge™ disc, Re:Flex™ allows the board to flex more naturally. This delivers a smoother ride and enables the sidecut to retain its optimum shape throughout the turn.

Living Hinge Toe Hooks

These hooks found on the toe side of each Step On baseplate lock the toe cleats into place. An integrated living hinge allows riders to engage and exit from the baseplate in one single motion.

Single-Component Hi-Back Construction

The simplicity of a one-piece hi-back means immediate response. Using advanced materials and design, Burton is able to manipulate the overall flex profile—from buttery to responsive.

Heel Buckle

Working in conjunction with the heel cleat as the primary retention system, the heel buckle is designed with the same functionality of a ratchet buckle and features Smooth Glide™ technology to ensure easy engagement.

Release Lever

The Release Lever is a low-profile, easy-access lever found on the heelcup of the binding. Pull the lever up, let it go, and the boot is released, allowing the rider to step out. The handle automatically resets after you step out, allowing riders to step back on instantaneously.

Re:Flex FullBED Cushioning System

FullBED cushioning offers full underfoot cushioning that maximizes comfort while minimizing fatigue. Anchored to the baseplate, its stealth trap door design makes it easy to access the mounting hardware
