A new addition to Burton’s Step-On collection for this season, the X has been specially designed for riders who are looking for a responsive and dynamic interface, but who also want that quick and convenient entry and exit that you only get with Step-On. Constructed from a 50/50 blend of carbon and nylon, the Step-On X creates a dynamic and responsive interface between the rider and the board. This stiff and dynamic construction ensures that even the smallest input is transferred directly to the board, delivering a level of performance that is nothing short of remarkable.
50% Carbon/Nylon Composite Re:Flex Baseplate
One material throughout the whole baseplate creates a consistent response and feel across all kinds of terrain. With a blend of 50% carbon/nylon composite, the Step-On X delivers lightning-fast with a dynamic and powerful ride. With a minimized, cored baseplate and Living Hinge™ disc, Re:Flex™ allows the board to flex more naturally. This delivers a more natural ride and enables the sidecut to retain its optimum shape throughout the turn.
Living Hinge Toe Hooks
These hooks found on the toe side of each Step On baseplate lock the toe cleats into place. An integrated living hinge allows riders to engage and exit from the baseplate in one single motion.
50/50 carbon/nylon Hi-Back Construction
The simplicity of a one-piece hi-back means immediate response. Using advanced materials and design, Burton is able to manipulate the overall flex profile—to create a responsive and dynamic ride.
Heel Buckle
Working in conjunction with the heel cleat as the primary retention system, the heel buckle is designed with the same functionality of a ratchet buckle and features Smooth Glide™ technology to ensure easy engagement.
Release Lever
The Release Lever is a low-profile, easy-access lever found on the heelcup of the binding. Pull the lever up, let it go, and the boot is released, allowing the rider to step out. The handle automatically resets after you step out, allowing riders to step back on instantaneously.
Re:Flex FullBED Cushioning System
FullBED cushioning offers full underfoot cushioning that maximizes comfort while minimizing fatigue. Anchored to the baseplate, its stealth trap door design makes it easy to access the mounting hardware
