EASY GOING ALL TERRAIN BOARD TO PUSH YOU TO THE NEXT LEVEL

The Hideaway is a new addition to the Burton range for 18/19 and is aimed at riders who are looking for an all-terrain board that delivers a combination of easy-going feel and ride anything versatility. Built around a tapered directional shape, it delivers a forgiving and predictable ride which not only helps you progress you're riding skills but will also improve your confidence to take on terrain and conditions that would normally be outside of your comfort zone. Utilising high-quality construction, the Hideaway combines Burton's Squeezebox Low and Fillet'O'Flex core profiling to deliver the optimum riding characteristics. With a flex that's playful enough for beginners but responsive enough to give you great service going forward. The Hideaway is available as board only or as a great value package with Burton's Citizen Binding.

Rider Profile
Beginner to intermediate riders who are looking for a versatile and easy going board to develop their riding skills.

Shape Overview
The Hideaway utilises a versatile tapered directional shape. This classic snowboard shape is designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float and control to rip any terrain or condition. The tapered shape means the nose is wider than the tail, promoting smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed, and enhanced floatation.

Profile
As the Hideaway is all about that balance of performance, versatility and easy going nature, Burton fit it with their Flat Top profile. This places a flat profile between the feet meaning improved stability, better balance, and continuous edge control. The tip and tail kick up with an early rise rocker outside the feet, gives a reassuring catch-free ride combined with a looser more forgiving feeling you'd expect from rocker.

Construction
Considering its price, the Hideaway takes advantage of some of the most advanced design and manufacturing usually only ever seen on higher priced boards. Heading this up is the state of the art Squeezebox Low FSC™ Certified Super Fly® 800G Core with Dualzone™ EGD™. This state of the art wood core utilises dual-density vertical laminations of alternating softwood/hardwood to reduce overall weight with no sacrifice in strength or performance. To give the Hideaway its combination of easy-going ride and all-terrain performance, Burton re-profile the core with their innovative Fillet'O'Flex. This ultra-thin profiling creates soft zones throughout the length, strategically placed to deliver the perfect playful feel without compromising the overall ride of the board. Where the profile is thinned out, underfoot pads are added to dampen out impacts and reduce foot fatigue. Now to give the Hideaway its more forgiving ride it utilises bi-ax glass structural layers. These deliver a playful torsionally soft flex that makes learning a breeze.

Base
To deliver great performance with minimal effort or maintenance, the Hideaway utilises Burton's Extruded Base.
