Red Bull Jib Network Session
Unfortunately for the second year in a row the snow gods did not bless the UK with any substantial snow, well not in the right places if you wanted to run a series of urban jib events. So to give something back to the group of riders that had backed the Jib Network for two years Red Bull planned a blowout event. Crews were asked to work with their local indoor slope to design and build a unique urban jib inspired feature. They would then session it and they provide a 40 second edit of their exploits.
All the sessions were to be filmed in just one night and then judged by The Reason Snowboard Magazine. 50% of points were awarded on the actual feature they built and 50% of the quality of the riding. In the end Snozone Castleford came out on top and as a prize Red Bull pulled out all the stops by hosting a freestyle session. Cue an on slope Red Bull sound system truck, DJ's, MC's, spot prizes, free drinks and they also provided passes for those in the Jib Network to ride at the session for free! The night was a huge success with riders getting creative on the features and pushing each other to go bigger. Thanks to Red Bull for backing the Jib Network and throwing what was essentially a thank you party for the Jib Network crews.
