A couple of windsurfers from Southern California, Neil Pryde and Reinhart Hansen, would go snowboarding every winter and were always amazed at how awkward it was to get strapped into their boards.
They thought there must be a better way and set about designing a simple, quick entry binding system.
Flow’s first rear entry binding was released in 1996 and became an instant success, selling over 15,000 units in their first winter. Over the coming years, they evolved the initial design and added boots and snowboards to the line-up in 2002. Sticking to their core values - innovation, fun, simplicity and performance - they won industry awards and Olympic medals and today they continue to push the boundaries of snowboard design.
