Top 5 Powder Boards 2018

March is here and the weather is shifting towards spring, bringing us bluebird days, BBQ’s and some dirty goggle tans. Despite this increase in temperature, this season’s quite ridiculous snowfall has left a solid base for fresh snow to settle on, especially at higher altitude resorts, making it a great opportunity to grab some last-minute backcountry runs in the sunshine.

Below you’ll find the best boards we’ve enjoyed shredding powder with this season, and best of all their all now in our sale.

YES

420

  • Profile: Camber
  • Flex: Mid
  • Base: Sintered

Short and fat, the 420 floats over everything from champagne powder to crud while the tight sidecut and stubby length make it easy to manoeuvre through tree lines and on the piste.

Internally it has a super-light core reinforced with bamboo all sandwiched between tri-ax glass resulting in a poppy, lightweight and stable ride.

Salomon

First Call

A playful backcountry board that lets you bring park tricks to the deep snow, it comes with a tapered twin shape balancing riding switch, controlled spins and impressive float.

The board’s profile is Salomon’s famed Rock Out camber which combines flat between your bindings for stability, camber near the feet for response and a rocker on the tip/tail to avoid catching an edge.

Great fun all over the mountain it excels in powder, keeping you wanting one more run.

YES

20/20

  • Profile: Powder Hull
  • Flex: Mid

The 20/20 is all about YES combining their revolutionary powder hull with a twin shape board. Two concave shapes at the nose and tail draw air under the board while dropping the tail creating the float and manoeuvrability of a directional board that spins as a balanced twin.
