The Domino replaces the acclaimed Opal for 17/18, and is aimed at more experienced riders who are looking for a responsive all terrain/freestyle boot that delivers the perfect balance of freeride control with park friendly mobility. Built around the all new Stamina Outsole, the new Domino delivers increased board feel and control whilst stepping up fit and comfort, ensuring that no matter what or where you ride, you know you've got a boot on your feet that won't hold you back.

LACING:

SUPERLACE
A Speed Lacing System that allows the closure of two different boot areas, the quarter part and the collar part, in order to allow you to select the perfect feeling on each part and improve comfort and foot stability. Your boot will be closed quickly and will stay tight and perform all day.

540° HEEL RETENTION
The boot laces pass through pre-curved lace loops which helps to minimize friction. When the laces are pulled to close the boot, they are simultaneously pulling the webbing where the lace loops are linked tight increasing heel stability. This mechanism is a result of the webbing passing through a hole from the side of the boot tightening the liner over the ankle area. The more the lace is pulled the more power will be transferred through the ankle area, increasing heel retention performance and foot stability.

LINER:

TF2
New advanced lining material in Thermo-Fit Foam with target fit zones that can catalyze instantly with a heater or over time from natural body heat. Malleolus area anatomically designed and reinforced with injected memory foam for better retention and comfort on the feet. Brand new webbing on the liner: the loops have been positioned on the edges of the liner, while the exclusive tongue side-cut naturally adapts to the instep, thus permitting the closest fit, and distributing power of transmission all over the liner surface. We analyzed the athletes' movements so to avoid the contact points and place the padding only where needed and at the right thickness to create the perfect interface, even matching the binding's ankle strap. Power strap for an even better fit: it gives an extra prop on the upper part of the liner and provides a more homogeneous liner closure supporting the liner lace lock.

LINER LACE LOCK
Northwave's lace lock is built with a quick release system to ensure efficiency and reduce lace slippage. Just squeeze the two ends of the lock together to loosen or tighten boots quickly and simply.

EVA FOOTBED
Northwave footbeds are developed to perfectly match the Strobel Construction Technology used on Northwave TF liners. Different EVA materials are combined to provide the best possible level of comfort and power transmission.

CUSHIONING:

STAMINA OUTSOLE
The new all mountain/freestyle Stamina Outsole are comprised of an EVA RP compound that makes the material more elastic and responsive than traditional EVA outsoles. With two grip areas, the Stamina soles are lighter than most alternatives because of the intelligently designed contact points maximising grip and minimising surface area.

FLEX AND RESPONSE:

THERMO WELDING
This technology brings Northwave distinct advantages both in terms of enabling them to integrate different materials and maintain a durable and resistant seamless outsole. This is particularly important in the ankle where there is no interruption of the upper boot technology bringing you progressive support from the heel to the calf. The visible asymmetrical y differentiates the three zones in the boot: it provides a stronger support on the outside for increased control when pressing, buttering and spinning; more flexibility on lateral inner boot; and lighter still above.

NORTHWAVE FIT GUIDE:

Northwave generally fit wider in the forefoot but are still pretty narrow around the heel ensuring those riders with wider feet still retain that solid foot hold.
