Taming the Beast.
I had the unique experience of skiing the 15/16 version in varying conditions over Christmas and New Years in France and Italy.
On hardpack corduroy, they held an edge like nothing else, and propelled you over into you next turn with a ferocity I was not expecting - a hugely fun experience once tamed! As things chopped up, they held brilliantly on the smooth underneath but sliced like a hot knife through the choppy powder on the edge.
And to ice the cake, a week in Val Thorens where it would not. stop. snowing. With an adjustment to my stance they came to life in the knee deep powder, cutting and flowing beautifully from turn to turn.
In short, powerful and lightweight, with an insanely good edge and ferocious turning ability for an all round carve ski, and not for the faint hearted until tamed!
