Over the years the Jam has established itself a reputation amongst experienced riders as being one of the very best high-performance snowboards available. From high-speed groomers to giant park booters and all the way through to untouched powder runs, its ability to deliver truly stunning performance across such different types of riding is nothing short of sensational.
So what is it that makes the Jam so good and so versatile?
Well the best place to start is its directional twin chassis and dynamic traditional camber profile. This balanced shape extends the contact points at the tips giving a bit more volume in the nose, increasing lift in powder without adversely affecting the overall freestyle feel of the board; whilst that lively camber ensures that the Jam delivers a stable yet responsive ride wherever you take it.
But, it's the addition of the versatile Freestyle 3BT base profile that really makes this board that little bit special. This innovative profile splits the base at the tip and tail into three equally sized sections. The mid width flat centre base gives a more solid and stable feel under the feet whilst the equally sized side base upturns engage the nose more efficiently giving a solid feel through the turn as well as helping to increase float in the pow.
Internally the Jam utilises the new Reactor bamboo core. This full-length wood core blends durable poplar with poppy bamboo stringers running down the edges which focuses power towards the edges and gives a truly mind blowing level of grip through the turn. To this, Bataleon then add structural layers formed from a specially created Tri-Ax glass reinforced with both carbon and Kevlar. This unique glass and composite construction ensures that the Jam has all the torsional strength that you could ever need to deliver a totally rock solid, responsive and powerful ride across all types of terrain and riding styles.
Finally the high end sintered Ultra-Glide S base delivers a super fast glide in all conditions.
