The Descendent is a new addition to our range for 2017 and is aimed at those riders who are looking for a park-focused board, but who want to get more out of their riding than just constantly hunting down rail lines.
Built around a playful true-twin chassis it utilises Burton's Pure Pop camber profile. This combination delivers a fully balanced overall ride, giving you all the control that you could need for when you're in the park. But, by adding that responsive camber under the feet and additional flat zones just outside the bindings Burton have brought the board alive and have given it a level of response and control that you just wouldn't associate with such a park-specific board. That control ensures that if you want to get out of the park, the Descendent is not going to hold you back.
However, don't go thinking that this board is stiff and powerful, by utilising the lightweight Super fly 800G wood core with Squeezebox Low profiling and structural layers created from a more forgiving torsionally softer Bi-Ax glass, Burton has managed to deliver a playful and forgiving board that will let you pretty much get away with anything, making it perfect not only for park riders but also for anyone who is looking for a board to develop their overall skills on.
Finally, as with all park focused boards, the Descendent utilises an easy repair extruded base, so no matter how much stick you give it, it's a simple job to put it right.
