The Jackpot has been a firm favourite in the YES range ever since it was first launched. Its combination of playful buttery tip and tail with a stiffer and responsive mid-section make it the perfect choice for those riders who want a softer freestyle feel but who still want that powerful and secure ride when blasting around the mountain.
Totally revamped last season, the new Jackpot was launched to critical acclaim, eventually bagging itself a Transworld Goodwood award. Obviously, for what is a freestyle-focused board, the Jackpot utilises a balanced twin shape. But this isn't any ordinary twin. Thanks to the innovative mid-bite edge profile which pulls the edges in between the feet (creating a narrow waist) the Jackpot delivers faster heel to toe response without sacrificing that wider platform under the feet you need for stability and more powerful ollies and take-offs.
Now match that narrow section with the boards slightly stiffer midsection and the 2-4-2 CamRock profile (which combines low rise rocker at the tip and tail with a lively camber under the feet) and it's easy to see why the Jackpot works not only as a freestyle machine, but as a board that you really can ride over the whole mountain.á
Internally the Jackpot utilises a full poplar wood core. This durable wood gives a more playful flex through the length, but thanks to the addition of Tri-Ax glass structural layers it still gives a powerful and responsive overall ride, ensuring that no matter how hard you ride, the Jackpot isn't going to let you down.
As the Jackpot is all about performance, YES fit it with a high-grade sintered base. This durable material is both tougher and faster than the extruded bases used on most other freestyle friendly boards.
