Helen Schettini's signature model is aimed at more experienced riders who are looking for a versatile board that can blend big mountain lines with fast groomer runs and big booter park laps.
Featuring a slightly tweaked shape from Helen's original board, the directional Hel just blasts through anything you throw at it. Combine this with the directional Cam/Rock profile, which features extended rocker at the nose for added lift in powder, poppy camber under the feet and low-rise rocker in the tail to improve drive, and you have all the ingredients in place for the perfect all-mountain ride.
Featuring YES's acclaimed Under-Bite edge profile, which pulls the sidecut in under the toes and heels directing energy to the contact points and into the centre of the sidecut, what you have is a board that goes from good to great.
With this kind of performance construction needs to be something special, and the Hel doesn't disappoint. Built around a lightweight wood core it utilises a combination of poplar and bamboo. The poplar delivers a durable medium overall flex whilst the bamboo adds extra pop through the length, giving the board more drive and extra power for launching of jumps. To reduce weight even further lightweight paulownia is used in the non-stressed areas of the core resulting in a superlight overall feel.
Keeping with the Hels performance brief the structural layers are formed from Tri-Ax glass. This torsionally stiffer glass fibre gives the board a solid and rock steady ride giving you the confidence to really push it.
Finally, the high-grade sintered base delivers a super fast glide in all conditions.
