As part of their game-changing Pig Series, the 2021 Ride TwinPig takes the Pig concept and integrates it into a state of the art freestyle board. Built around a short, wide twin tip platform, it delivers a  more playful and freestyle friendly ride compared to the other boards in the Pig line. Thankfully, the TwinPig’s freestyle foundation hasn’t compromised any of the unique riding characteristics that we’ve come to expect from this award-winning series of boards. So, what you get is a responsive and dynamic, yet floaty and playful snowboard that is equally happy lapping the park as it is cruising the mountain. Built around a state of the art, wide platform asymmetrical twin shape with Asymmetrical twin camber, the TwinPig knocks the stiffness back a notch compared to the Warpig. This slightly softer flex delivers a more playful freestyle inspired overall feel without really compromising outright performance. So, no matter if you want to just play around in the park or you want to get out and explore the whole mountain, the TwinPig has you covered.

Rider Style: All-Terrain Freestyle riders

The Twin Pig is aimed at strong intermediate to advanced freestyle riders who are looking for a versatile board that can deliver no matter the conditions or terrain.

Shape Overview: Assymettric Twin Tip

The TwinPig takes the Pig Series’s short and wide shape concept and applies it to a state of the art asymmetrical twin-tip shape. This innovative design creates a wider platform between the feet with an extended blunt profile nose and tail kick. This advanced shape creates a balanced overall shape with low swing weight without compromising lift and float away from the park. Now to ensure that the TwinPig doesn’t feel sluggish with its extra width, Ride utilises a tight radius quadratic sidecut on both the toeside and heelside. This gives the board a lively feel underfoot and offsets the slower edge to edge speed of the extra width. Now to ensure that the TwinPig can take maximum advantage of its advanced design, it also features a deeper heelside sidecut. This innovative design offsets the bodies bio-mechanical inability to drive equal power to both the heel edge and toe edge, creating a dynamic and lively ride underfoot.

The TwinPig’s Asymmetrical Twin Hybrid Rocker profile combines rocker in the nose and tail with camber under the feet. The rocker at the contact points delivers a more reassuring hook-free feel when playing in the park as well as creating lift and float in deeper snow. To give the board a more dynamic and responsive ride, the TwinPig adds camber under the feet to power up the sidecut. This ensures that when you need edge hold and stability, the TwinPig won’t let you down.

Internally the TwinPig has been optimised to deliver the perfect balance of all-terrain performance with freestyle friendly feel. Heading this up is the Foundation Core. Constructed from tip to tail Aspen it provides the ideal balance of durability, pop and flex. To this Ride then add underfoot dampening pads in the binding zones. These help cushion landings and add additional resistance to core compression under excess load. Now to give the TwinPig that optimum all-terrain/freestyle flex, the structural layers are formed from a combination of tri-ax glass on the upper band and bi-ax glass on the lower band. At heart, the TwinPig is a freestyle board, and that’s nowhere more obvious than the addition of Ride’s Slimewall sidewall tech. Slimewalls® are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls® smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may ride on. Finally, the Cleave steel edges have nearly 50% more steel; this delivers unmatched resistance to edge cracking while allowing the rider to blunt off the edge far more than with a traditional edge.

New for this year is the addition of a high performance sintered base. This gives a faster glide across a wide range of temperatures and conditions.
