THE STUNNING ALL-TERRAIN KILLER THAT PUT YES ON THE MAP

The Greats has firmly established itself as one of the very best all terrain boards on the market. Its unique ability to blur the lines between freestyle and freeriding have made it the go-to choice for riders who are looking for a board that will let them ride everything on the mountain. Continually evolving and taking advantage of new technologies, it’s no surprise then that for 2019 YES have entirely redesigned the Greats. In doing so, they have created a genuinely stunning high-performance board that redefines all terrain snowboarding. With an all new state of the art, Asymmetric twin shape featuring YES’ss advanced MidBite edge profile, all new construction, and base profile, the new Greats pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in snowboard design, delivering ride that will blow the mind of even the most experienced rider.

Rider Style
Intermediate through to Expert riders who are looking for an advanced freestyle inspired all-terrain board that is equally at home in the pow as it is over the whole mountain.

Shape Overview
The Greats utilises one of the most advanced shapes on the market. Completely redesigned for this season, it is built around an advanced blunt profile asymmetric twin profile. This state of the art design features a tighter sidecut on the heelside edge, creating a more responsive feel on backside turns. This is designed to offset the bodies inability to drive energy into the heelside as efficiently as on the toeside. For 2019YES have also added their innovative MidBite edge profile to the Greats. This unique design pulls in the edges between the feet tricking the board into thinking it has a tighter sidecut while allowing the designers to increase width under the feet. This allows the board to turn quickly while adding stability and float.

Profile
For 2019 the Greats utilises the toned down 2-4-2 CamRock profile. This combines low profile rocker zones at the tip and tail with a more pronounced camber through the middle of the board. This creates hook free zones at the contact points while cutting down overall swing weight, adding both control and feel. Now by utilising a more pronounced camber between the feet which works in harmony with that tighter heel side and MidBite, the Greats deliver a level of response and control on the piste that is nothing short of remarkable.

Construction
When it comes to construction the 2019 Greats really doesn’t hold back. Completely redesigned for this season its high-end manufacturing is headed up by the advanced poplar/paulownia/bamboo core. This durable wood core combines high-quality poplar with lightweight paulownia reinforced with bamboo stringers through the center to deliver a super light yet powerful flex through the length of the board. To this Yes then form the board's structural layers from carbon reinforced tri-ax glass, creating a torsionally responsive flex ensuring that no matter how hard you drive this board, it’s always going to have plenty in reserve.

What type of base does it have?
As the Greats is all about performance, Yes step up the base to a True Sintered material. True Sintered is harder and more expensive than extruded, and it can be faster for those that ride aggressively fast.
