Utilising some of the most advanced design and technology available, the stunning Yes Greats Uninc is the perfect board for experienced riders who want all the balance and feel of a freestyle twin but still want a board that can deliver outstanding performance over the whole mountain. Built around a state-of-the-art twin shape and utilising the most up-to-date thinking in sidecut technology, the Great Uninc is a board that must be ridden to appreciate fully. On the piste, it's an absolute beast, whilst in the pow, it delivers a level of lift and float that is nothing short of remarkable for what is fundamentally a freestyle board. As the go-to board for Yes founder Romain De Marchi, the Great's Uninc's credentials are second to none; take a quick look at any of Romain's video sections, and you'll see just what this board is capable of.
Rider Style: Experienced All-Terrain riders
Advanced through to Expert riders looking for a high-performance freestyle-inspired all-terrain board that is equally at home in the pow as it is over the whole mountain.
Shape Overview: Asymmetric Twin Tip with MidBite
The Greats utilises one of the most advanced shapes on the market. It is built around a state-of-the-art blunt tip and tail asymmetric twin profile. This innovative design features a tighter sidecut on the heel side edge, creating a more responsive feel on backside turns. This technology offsets the body's bio-mechanical inability to drive as much energy into the heelside edge as on the toeside. The Greats also features the unique MidBite edge profile to increase response and control further. This advanced design pulls in the edges between the feet, tricking the board into thinking it has a tighter sidecut while allowing the designers to increase the width under the feet. This combination gives the Greats its lightning-fast response, genre-defining float, and stability.
Profile: 2-4-2 CamRock
The Greats utilises the responsive 2-4-2 CamRock profile, which combines low-profile rocker zones at the tip and tail with a more pronounced camber through the middle of the board. This profile creates hook-free zones at the contact points while stepping up response thanks to the more reactive contact points. By utilising a more pronounced camber between the feet, which works in harmony with that tighter heelside and MidBite, the Greats delivers a level of response and control on the piste that is nothing short of remarkable.
Now when it comes to construction, the Greats doesn't hold back. Its high-end manufacturing is headed up by the advanced poplar/paulownia/bamboo core. This durable wood core combines high-quality poplar with lightweight paulownia reinforced with bamboo stringers through the centre to deliver a super light yet powerful flex through the length. To this, Yes then form the board's structural layers from carbon-reinforced tri-ax glass, creating a torsionally responsive flex that no matter how hard you drive the board, always has plenty in reserve.
Base: Sintered True
Sintered True is harder and more durable than extruded, and it can be faster for those that ride aggressively fast. But to do that, it must be waxed and prepared for local conditions.
