One Board to rule them all.

Aimed squarely at the more experienced rider, Yes’s award-winning Standard has become the de facto choice for anyone who is looking for a high-performance snowboard that can destroy everything the mountain can throw at it. Utilising one of the most advanced directional twin shapes on the market, it features Yes’s state of the art MidBite edge profile. This unique design delivers a remarkable board that blends almost freecarve levels of on-piste performance with class-leading levels of float in the pow. The fact that it does this without compromising any of its freestyle balance and feel, ensures that if it’s a truly versatile high-performance board you’re looking for, then there’s little that can touch the Standard.

Rider Style

Intermediate through to Expert riders who are looking for a responsive, high-performance board that delivers stunning performance no matter what or where you ride.

Shape Overview

The Standards advanced directional twin shape is key to its stunning all-terrain performance. Heading this up is the unique blunt nose profile. Taking its inspiration from the highly acclaimed Optimistic, this state of the art design gives unrivalled levels of lift and float, without feeling long and unwieldy. To provide the standard with its responsive and stable underfoot feel, it utilises Yes’s advanced MidBite edge profile. This innovative design pulls in the edges between the insert packs, cheating the board into riding like it has a narrower waist. This unique design works so well that it allows the designers to increase the width of the board under the feet, improving float in pow while also giving a more stable platform for popping off jumps and kickers. For this season the Standard now features the new Slamback Stance, this adds an extra set of inserts allowing you to set back the stance for those bottomless powder days.

Profile

The Standards 3-4-3 CamRock profile combines mid-rise rocker at the tip and tail with a more pronounced camber through the middle of the board. This innovative profile produces hook free zones at the tips while still allowing the contact points to power-up turn initiation and exit. That little bit of rocker also works perfectly with the nose shape to deliver unrivalled levels of lift and float in deeper snow. By adding a more pronounced camber between the feet, the unique MidBite edge profile engages more securely creating a more responsive and dynamic feel through the turn.

What’s inside it?

As you would expect for such a high-performance board, the Standard’s construction utilises some of the most advanced technology available. Heading this up is the state of the art wood core. Combining durable poplar with lightweight paulownia and bamboo stringers running through the centre, the Standard delivers a powerful and responsive flex through the length, while cutting weight to the absolute minimum. To this, Yes then add structural layers formed from a torsionally stiff tri-ax weave glass fibre. This beefs up the torsional flex and ensures that no matter how hard or how fast you ride, you just know that the Standard won’t let you down.

What type of base does it have?

As the Standard is all about performance, Yes step up the base to a True Sintered material. True Sintered is harder and more expensive than extruded, and it can be faster for those that ride aggressively fast.
