An evolution of last year's highly acclaimed board but re-engineered to give more float, lower swing weight and improved response, the new Goliath takes its performance to a whole new level whilst further underpinning the ride-anything nature of this iconic snowboard. Like all Bataleons, the key to the Goliath's performance is the state-of-the-art 3BT with Sidekicks base profile. This innovative 3D base profile allows the Goliath to master every terrain and every style of riding. It enhances edge control, improves float in the pow and gives the board a more skate-like feel, all without compromising out-and-out performance. Shape Overview: Directional Twin
The Goliath utilises a state-of-the-art blunt tip and tail directional twin chassis. This versatile shape combines a true twin's feel and control with the ride-anything versatility of an all-terrain charger. So, when you're hitting up the park, it gives you all the feel and control you could ever need. However, by slightly increasing the volume in the nose, Bataleon creates a shape that provides excellent float in the pow and a stable and solid ride on the piste.
Profile: Freestyle Triple Base
As with the rest of the Bataleon range, the unique Freestyle 3BT shape with sidekicks technology sets the Goliath apart. This advanced 3D base profile, combined with an overall traditional camber, delivers stunning performance in all types of terrain. The Freestyle 3BT profile divides the base at the front and back of the board into three equally proportionate sections. The two side-base sections are then angled upwards with a medium height uplift to create the 3BT trademark profile. Combine this with the traditional camber, and you have a board that not only turns easier and with more stability but you also get a board that floats better in pow as well as being more playful and forgiving for when you want to hit the park.
Side Kicks
SideKick dramatically increases the side base uplift just outside the widest part of the nose and tail. This innovative base shape makes turn initiation smoother, increases float in powder and improves the board's handling in rough terrain.
Construction
Internally the Goliath utilises some of the highest quality and most advanced materials available; heading this up is the Ultra-Light Core. This super-light wood core combines 70% lightweight paulownia and 30% durable poplar to create a responsive yet featherweight foundation for the board's excellent performance. However, it's the addition of the state-of-the-art DRST. This innovative technology inserts carbon tubes into pre-milled channels that run parallel to the Goliath's sidecut on either side of the board. These energise the sidecut along its entire length, giving the Goliath its dynamic and responsive rides. Bataleon then fits structural layers formed from torsionally responsive tri-ax glass. This torsionally responsive glass fibre is further reinforced with carbon stringers running from the front inserts to the rear inserts on either side of the board. These stringers ensure that when you need the board to deliver, you can be sure it can respond.
Base: Hyper Glide S (Sintered)
As the Goliath is all about high performance, Bataleon fit it with their high-end Hyper Glide S sintered base. This high-performance base material delivers a stunning performance as well as being strong and durable.
