Nitro Nomad Splitboard

If you've ever thought about getting into split boarding, but the high price of equipment has put you off, then the Nitro Volta might make you change your mind. As one of the lowest-priced split boards on the market, the Volta brings the cost of split board ownership right down. However, it's not just the low price of the Volta that is a surprise; it's also the fact that Nitro has managed to create a board with such an impressive spec at such a low price. Built around a directional shape, the Volta delivers the perfect balance of stability and float, ensuring that no matter if you're out hunting powder or exploring in firmer conditions, the board is going to take it all in its stride. Utilising Nitro's Flat Out Rocker, which features a flat section between the feet with early-rise at the tips with Power Pods edge profiling, the Volta gives a positive and secure ride, giving you the confidence to push when riding. The Forged T7075 clips with quick-release tip and tail locks work harmoniously with the pre-drilled Kuhla skins fitting system to ensure that the Volta is super quick to switch between skinning and riding mode. Available as board only or as a great value package that contains board, Kuhla skins, Spark Bindings and Nitro Foldable Poles.

Rider Style

Riders who want to get out and explore off the beaten track.

Shape Overview

The Volta's directional shape delivers a versatile ride across the whole mountain. Built around a regular width platform, it combines effortless lift and float in deep snow with a stable and confidence-inspiring ride in firmer conditions. To help the Volta engage the edge more efficiently, it utilises Nitro's Power Pod technology. Placing a tighter radius in the centre of the sidecut with a larger radius towards the tip and tail, the Power Pods deliver two major benefits. Firstly, it improves the efficiency of the sidecut improving edge hold and grip; secondly, it creates wider zones under the binding areas reducing toe drag, allowing you to ride with more relaxing shallower angles.

Profile: Flat Out

Flat-Out Rocker is a hybrid flat camber profile where the nose and tail lift off before the

traditional contact points, providing effortless turns and catch-free manoeuvres. The lifted

nose and tail provide excellent float, pressability, and forgiveness in any terrain. The ultimate

hybrid between Zero Camber and Reverse Camber allows you to have the most playful yet

stable ride for easy progression and all-mountain domination.

Construction

Heading up the Volta’s's quality construction is the Powercore. This uses tip-to-tail poplar wood, providing lightweight strength and the perfect blend of flex, response and feel. The structural layers are formed from Bi-Lite glass. This torsionally softer glass creates a playful yet responsive ride, making the Volta effortless to ride and more forgiving, ensuring those all-day long expeditions don't punish you too hard.

Base

Extruded FH Base. This durable, low maintenance base is perfect for split boards as it takes loads of abuse and is easy to repair. So when you catch those shark fins out in the backcountry, you don't have to worry too much about expensive repair jobs.
