Rider Style

Shape Overview
Utilising a unique twin-tip platform, the Happy-Place delivers a balanced freestyle-friendly ride that ensures that no matter what or where you ride, you'll always feel like you know what's going on under your feet. However, the Happy Place is more than just a freestyle board. Thanks to its state-of-the-art nose and tail profile, it delivers excellent performance in the pow. But what sets this board apart is how it rides on the piste. Its progressive sidecut blends multiple radii and smooth contact points and delivers buttery turn initiation, smooth edge-to-edge transition and predictable and stable edge hold.
Profile
One of the key contributors to the Happy-Place's stunning performance is the innovative 2nd generation Cam Rock profile. This innovative camber profile steps up the board's performance and helps deliver that all-terrain versatility that has made the Happy Place a success. The floaty, catch-free rocker at both the tip and tail provides excellent float in the pow with a confidence-inspiring hook-free feel on rails and boxes. Flat zones outside the insert packs create a stable platform to load up for increased ollie power and pop. Finally, the traditional camber between the feet powers up the sidecut and adds stability.
Construction
Internally the Happy Place is jam-packed with some of the most advanced manufacturing seen at this price point. Heading this up is the state of the art Pop core, constructed mainly from durable poplar it adds additional stringers of beech to deliver a poppy yet predictable feel. The beech strips run through the inserts from tip to tail. These power up the board through its length increasing pop and precision. Slash then add structural layers created from a softer flexing Bi-Ax glass. This two-way weave fibreglass with strands running at 0 and 90-degrees is more forgiving, easier to flex and highly versatile for all types of riding. To give the Happy Place a more dynamic feel underfoot without compromising the playful torsional flex, it features Carbonbon reinforcing. Pure carbon fibre slabs are placed in a cross pattern under the inserts between the base and the core to enhance responsiveness, pop, torsional stiffness and amplify foot movement. Impact Dampening rubber strips are placed between the metal edges and the sidewall to dampen the ride and give a smoother feel.
Base
The Happy Place's sintered 6000 base is fast, durable and requires less waxing. This higher spec base is unusual at this price point as most brands use a cheaper, low-density extruded material.
