Built around a fully adjustable carbon-fibre injected Nylon baseplate, it transfers even the smallest inputs directly to the board. This construction means that when you need the board to respond, it’s instant, giving you the confidence to tackle even the most challenging terrain. That instant response and power are also carried through to the highback; again, using a blend of carbon fibre and nylon transfers energy straight to the heelside edge, allowing you to drive those backside turns. Although the Proton CI is stiff and powerful, it’s still pretty smooth to ride. Thanks to the combination of the dual-density footpad, EVA highback padding and the advanced Hexo toe and ankle straps, it still delivers a comfortable fit whilst dampening out those foot-cramping vibrations that you sometimes get from carbon bindings.

Carbon Fibre Injected Baseplate Baseplate
This injected nylon baseplate replaces regular glass fibre with strands of carbon fibre. This construction gives a stiffer overall baseplate, improving energy transfer to the board. Injecting the carbon with the nylon still allows the baseplate to absorb high-frequency vibrations, ensuring the binding is still comfortable to ride all day.
Adjustable Aluminium Heelcup.
This allows you to centre the foot on the binding, enhancing feel, response and comfort.
Carbon/Nylon Highback
This construction creates a stffer highback allowing the binding to pick up and transfer more energy more efficiently. Thanks to the EVA padding, even though you’ve got a stiff highback, it’s still comfortable to ride.
