Felix Boa® Step ON Specification:
Dual Zone Boa® System with Sequence™ and Coiler™
The H3+ Coiler with Burton’s advanced Sequence Technology is the main closure point for the boot. The Boa Coiler is geared at a ratio of 4:1 ensuring that boot tightening is quick and easy. The innovative Sequence Technology tightens the laces from both the top and bottom towards the centre of the laces. This helps prevent unequal tightening of the laces, which has always been an issue with single Boa closures.
To ensure the Photon StepOn delivers the ultimate in control it features the StepOn specificSnugger Ankle Strap, this built-in Boa Coiler strap allows the rider to adjust both heel hold and forward flex stiffness.
Imprint™ 3 Liner with Focus Cuff and Hook and Loop Closure
The Imprint 3 Liners features Burton’s innovative DRYRIDE Heat Cycle™ technology. This breathable inner lining material utilises interwoven thermally activated carbon thread to capture and reflect heat inwards while wicking moisture away from the foot.
The Focus Cuff Heel Hold System boosts heel hold by hugging that sweet spot around your ankle. The Focus Cuff sits slightly higher on the ankle than most other heel hold systems giving increased response and control. To dial in the fit even further, the Imprint 3 Liner can be modified around the ankle by the addition of J Bars. These can be attached and detached quickly via the hook and loop fixings reducing heel lift for even the slimmest of feet.
The Hook and Loop closure allows you to obtain a super snug fit on the upper part of the boot. Working similar to a power strap it lets you transmit power effortlessly.
To help obtain the perfect fit, the Imprint 3 Liner is constructed from fully heat mouldable foam. This innovative material forms to the contours of your feet, reducing unwanted pressure points.
StepOn® EST®Outsole with Recycled Rubber and Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil,
EST® looks beyond the binding to optimise the interface between the rider and the board. By re-engineering the sole, Burton’s designers have bought the foot closer to the board, creating a more direct connection. Lower profile, lighter weight, and with a reduced ramp angle EST® lowers your centre of gravity and improves feel. To ensure your foot stays, warm, Burton adds their Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil. This innovative heat reflective foil reflects heat back to the feet, improving both warmth and comfort in even the coldest conditions.
1:1 Medium Flex PowerUP Tongue
This dual density tongue construction has been designed to deliver the perfect balance of flex and response. This helps create the ideal feel for both freestyle and cruising whilst also reducing material breakdown and the boot becoming too soft.
StepOn® Backstay
This reinforced backstay has been developed exclusively for the StepOn® system. Designed to deliver a slightly stiffer flex to offset the effect of the strap being attached to the binding. It also gives a reinforced attachment for the heel cleat.
Snowproof Internal Gusset
All Burton boot tongues feature an internal gusset construction to completely seal the lower zone of the boot, keeping feet warm and dry.
