Having firmly established itself as one of the best-performing all-terrain boards on the market, it would be easy for Lib-Tech to sit back on their laurels and leave the iconic Terrain Wrecker to its own devices. Thankfully for us, they've decided not to do that, and for 23/24, they have released a completely redesigned Terrain Wrecker. In comes an all-new directional twin shape that takes full advantage of the latest snowboard design and technology thinking, elevating this already excellent board into something truly outstanding. Now I suspect the first thing you'll notice on the new board is the blunt tip and tail design. Replacing the classic round profile tips of the original Terrain Wrecker, this advanced shape drops the swing weight at the extremities of the board. This reduction in weight helps create a more balanced overall ride, giving the Terrain Wrecker a more freestyle-focused feel, all whilst still retaining that outstanding ability to put it down in whatever terrain or conditions you ride.
Rider Style: All-Terrain
Experienced to advanced all-terrain freestyle riders looking for a board that rules both in the park and out on the mountain.
Shape Overview: Directional Twin
Built around an all-new versatile directional twin chassis with the stance centred in the middle of the sidecut, the Terrain Wrecker is at home in any terrain. Heading up its state-of-the-art shape is the innovative low-swing-weight nose. This lightweight blunt profile nose has been designed to deliver great float in the pow without compromising the Terrain Wrecker's all-important balance. The playful blunt freestyle tail then ensures that the Terrain Wrecker isn't going to spit you off when you want to play around. Now one of the things that you'll notice when you ride this board is just how reliable and stable it is on edge. This stability is in part due to the Magne Traction sidecut. By placing seven strategically located edge serrations along the length of the sidecut, you add extra traction points along the edge, ensuring that you get unrivalled edge hold and control.
Profile: C2x Hybrid Rocker/Camber
As the Terrain Wrecker is about versatility, Lib-Tech fits it with their C2 hybrid Rocker/Camber profile. This hybrid camber places shortened rocker between your feet with extended powerful cambers to the tips and tails. This combination delivers the perfect balance of power, pop and precision while enhancing float in deep pow. Also, those aggressive cambers work perfectly with the Magna Traction sidecut to give a stable and confidence-inspiring feeling through the turn.
Internally the Terrain Wrecker utilises Lib-Techs OP + construction. This is headed up by the OP wood core, which combines aspen and lightweight paulownia with birch stringers parallel to the sidecut. This delivers the perfect balance of pop and power with a more freestyle-friendly feel. To this Lib-Tech, add structural layers formed from tri-ax and bi-ax glass; these allow the board's designers to dial in the perfect freestyle flex through the length with a more responsive torsional flex for when you need increasing control and response.
The low maintenance environmentally friendly reconstituted Eco Sublimated TNT base combines the very best features of traditional sintered and extruded bases into one low maintenance but fast sintered base.
