Shape Overview
The Cheap Thrills twin tip shape is designed to deliver the ultimate in control and feel. Its blunt-tipped shape removes any excess material from the tips cutting swing weight to a minimum. This reduced swing weight gives the rider more control when the board is spinning by reducing inertia at the tips. The regular width platform works in harmony with the mid-sized radial sidecut to give the board a predictable feel underfoot, ensuring that you have complete control no matter if you're playing around on the piste or running into a jump or rail.
Profile: Flat Out Rocker
Flat-Out Rocker is a hybrid flat camber profile where the nose and tail lift off before the
traditional contact points, providing effortless turns and catch-free manoeuvres. The lifted
nose and tail provide excellent float, pressability, and forgiveness in any terrain. The ultimate
hybrid between Zero Camber and Reverse Camber allows you to have the most playful yet
stable ride for easy progression and all-mountain domination.
Construction
Heading up the Cheap Thrills quality construction is the Powercore II wood core. This responsive core uses tip-to-tail poplar wood reinforced with beech stringers running through the length of the board. This lightweight wood core provides the perfect balance of weight and strength with the optimum blend of flex, response and feel. Nitro then profile the core with their Whiplash profile to dial in the perfect flex for the Cheap Thrills. This advanced profiling reduces thickness between the feet to give the board a more predictable flex through the centre whilst adding thickness outside the bindings for added pop and pressing performance. The structural layers are then formed from Bi-Lite glass. This torsionally softer bi-ax glass gives the board its playful flex. Bi-ax glass creates a playful yet responsive ride, making the Cheap Thrills effortless to ride and more forgiving. Underpinning the Cheap Thrills park credentials are the Railkiller Edges and Ureshred Sidewalls. Railkiller edges are twice as thick as regular edges and help resist hard impacts from boxes and rails. The Ureshred sidewalls are constructed from Urethane and help cushion those oversized edges whilst dampening the ride and resisting hard impacts.
