The D.O.A is built around a versatile twin chassis with a blunt diamond tip and tail profile. This innovative shape combines the balance and feel of a park-orientated freestyle with the ride-anything versatility of an all-mountain charger.
Profile:
As the D.O.A is about delivering excellent performance across various disciplines, it utilises Capita's all-terrain RESORT V1 Profile. This innovative profile blends traditional camber, zero camber and reverse camber to create one of the most versatile camber profiles available. By combining these three separate profiles, you get the pop and response of a cambered board with all the predictability and easy turn initiation of zero camber and the lift and float of reverse camber shapes. This combination ensures that no matter what or where you ride, the D.O.A is always going to perform.
Construction
Heading up the D.O.A's advanced construction is the all-new P2 Superlight core. This poppy and durable wood core combines poplar and paulownia to deliver a lightweight yet responsive foundation to the D.O.A’s advanced construction. To this, Capita then adds micro-sewn 20 mm carbon beams into milled-out channels running either side of the insert pack from front to back contact points. These increase power through the length without compromising torsional flex. Additional strength and dampening are added by the addition of the Fortress aramid sidewalls. For a board that, at heart, is a freestyle board, the perfect torsional flex is key to its performance; with that in mind, Capita then creates the structural layers from their Special Blend Fibreglass. This eco-friendly wet lay-up custom weighted bi-ax glass delivers the optimum balance of strength and durability with a rider-friendly feel. Finally, to give the D.O.A bombproof durability, it features the Fortress™ Kevlar Bound Sidewalls. These super-strong sidewalls are more resistant to impact damage and help underscore the D.O.A's bulletproof durability.
Base:
The super-fast Quantum Drive base is formulated from a blend of compressed ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethene. As an evolution from the already fast Ultradrive base, this advanced material features higher density for durability with improved wax absorption and retention to stay faster for longer.
