For added response, the Solution is built with the premium Ultra core, Flax/Basalt Power stringers and an ECO-plastic topsheet. For added edge grip and torsional board lock, the Solution features Inner/Outer Traction Tech 3.0, Karakoram Tip-Lock clips that lock closed, and Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0 that are smaller and lighter than the original Ultra clip design.

Shape Overview

The Solution features an advanced, fully directional shape which utilises an innovative blunt diamond nose and tail profile. This state of the art shape tricks the board into thinking it has a longer nose, which helps channel the flow of snow under the front, increasing both float and lift. However, as the nose length is still relatively short, the Solution has a surprisingly low swing weight, giving the rider a more controllable and balanced overall ride. As the Solution is all about performance, Jones fits it with their innovative Traction Tech 3.0 sidecut profile. This adds small bumps along the sidecut length, creating additional traction points at the edges. These deliver a more stable and secure ride without the unpredictability of other manipulated sidecuts. To enhance turning performance even further, the Solution features the advanced Progressive Sidecut. By gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact points, the Solution delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.

Profile

The Solutions freeride specific profile combines an extended rocker zone at the nose with a setback camber between the inserts and a shorter rocker at the tail. This profile allows the board to float effortlessly in deep snow while still delivering a powerful and dynamic ride on hardpack terrain. When combined with the stiffer flex, the shorter rocker at the tail helps create a more responsive and stable feel at the back of the board while increasing power out the back of the turn.

3D Contour Base 3.0

One of the key features that set the new Solution apart is the innovative 3D Contour Base profile. This unique design adds an even balance of a 7mm spoon at the nose and tail running from the start of the board's rocker zone. Although this bevel doesn't look much to the naked eye, it transforms how the board rides. Turn initiation becomes smoother and more fluid while float at the nose increases, thanks to how the profile funnels the snow down and under the nose.

Boltless Bridge

The Bolt-less Bridge eliminates split clip attachment hardware from the board base by re-profiling the wood core at the clips. The wood core under the clips is thicker, providing better torsional stiffness and a more powerful connection at the split clips.

Construction

Heading up the Solutions construction is the advanced Ultra Split Core. This split specific core is Jones's lightest core and consists primarily of featherweight paulownia. Jones then adds additional poplar stringers; these harder stringers increase strength and pop, giving the perfect balance of durability and power. The Solution's structural layers are formed from Jones multi-axis, tri-ax glass. This responsive glass fibre delivers a torsionally stiffer flex resulting in a responsive ride in all types of terrain. To add additional pop and strength into the structural layers, Jones adds Flax and Basalt stringers. These transfer more power to the edges, but they also help reduce chatter at higher speeds.

Base

As you would expect for such a performance-inspired board, Jones doesn't hold back when it comes to the base. Featuring a super high end 9900 sintered material, it's one of the fastest boards out there.
