Shape Overview: Directional
Although the Retro Ripper appears to be a bit of a retro tribute board at first glance, it's a lot more than that. Built around a fully directional powder-inspired shape, it utilises an extended, low-entry nose profile. This classic shape delivers effortless float, ensuring that the nose comes up and stays up with minimal input no matter how deep it gets. The short, re-engineered Swallow designed tail allows the back of the board to sink in deep snow, helping that lift and float at the nose. It also works harmoniously with the new deeper elliptical set-back sidecut and C3 Camber to give the board a more solid and stable feel on edge with more whip out the tail when carving on the piste.
Profile: C3 Camber
CAMBER 3: this is camber engineered for high-performance snowboarding. Very mild rocker between your feet combined with powerful cambers to the tips and tails. Mild rocker balances pressure distribution tip to tail, eliminating the "dead space" between your feet, maximising edge hold, pop, power and precision with a little extra float and carve when you need it.

Construction
Internally the Retro Ripper utilises Lib-Techs OP + construction. This is headed up by the OP wood core, which combines 75% Aspen and 25% lightweight paulownia with birch stringers parallel to the sidecut. This wood combination delivers the perfect balance of pop and power with a more freestyle-friendly overall feel. To this, Lib Tech then adds structural layers formed from tri-ax and bi-ax glass. Combining 2 different weaves on the top and bottom layers of the board allows the board's designers to dial in the perfect balance of torsional and longitudinal flex to deliver the ideal levels of control and response.
