Shape Overview

The Escapes directional shape is engineered to create a versatile ride across the entire mountain. Its innovative Diamond Nose Profile allows the nose to rise quickly in deep snow, while the cut back tail reduces surface area at the rear of the board, allowing the tail to sink. Combining lift at the front and sink at the tail delivers effortless powder performance without sitting on the back leg all the time. This innovative shape also helps reduce swing weight at the tips ensuring that the Escape feels predictable at speed.

Profile

To ensure that the Escape delivers stunning performance across the whole mountain, Nidecker utilises a traditional Positive Camber profile. This full-length camber provides extra grip and response while increasing stability and is perfect for riders looking for that balance of carving performance and all-terrain charging.

Construction

Internally the Escape utilises a mix of high-quality materials and traditional snowboard manufacturing to deliver its responsive and dynamic ride. Heading this up is the high-quality Master core. Combining poplar for durability, beech and spruce for pop and power, and paulownia for weight saving delivers the perfect foundation for the Escape's excellent performance. This poppy and responsive wood core are matched with Nidecker's exclusive Dual Plus structural layers. This 90°/0° biaxial fibreglass laminate offers a forgiving ride and predictable torsional flex. Finishing off the Escape's construction is the Ash Veneer top sheet. Not only does this look great, but it also adds another level of dampening to the board's structure.

Base

Developed exclusively for Nidecker, the N-7000 is an extremely tough, sintered base with added carbon nanoparticles that provide exceptional glide.
