The Dancehaul has quickly established itself as the go-to board for anyone who wants a piste and powder-focused board that puts having fun at the top of its agenda. Perfect as a daily driver for anyone who loves to carve around the resort and get into the deep stuff on a powder day, this stunning board makes you rethink your whole riding experience. Built around a fully directional tapered shape with a broader riding platform and a predictable radial sidecut, the Dancehaul lets you lay out effortless long carves without worrying about toe and heel drag. That extra width also increases the volume, which in conjunction with that long nose and cut-out tail, gives effortless float. However, the Dancehaul's secret weapon is in its construction; resisting industry norms to pack it full of high-end materials and make it super stiff and powerful, Salomon has knocked back the aggression a couple of notches and, in doing so, has created a high-performance board that's also one of the most fun to ride boards that you can strap into.
Rider Style: Freeriders
Intermediate to advanced riders looking for a piste and powder board that combines stunning performance with a more playful and rider-friendly feeling.
The Dancehaul is built around an advanced wide-body, fully directional tapered shape designed to deliver excellent piste and pow performance. Its advanced diamond-tipped nose is designed to deliver all the characteristics of a traditional long powder nose without compromising the balance of the board. It produces effortless lift and float in deep snow but with a more stable and controllable ride on the piste. The wider main body ramps the board's overall surface volume, adding float without compromising agility. It also reduces the likelihood of toe and heel drag when carving hard. Salomon utilises a classic radial sidecut to ensure the Dancehaul delivers a predictable and stable ride on edge. Formed from a single circle, it delivers a consistent and predictable ride.
Profile: RockOut Camber
Salomon utilises their state-of-the-art Rock Out Camber to ensure that the Dancehaul delivers excellent performance across all types of riding and terrain. This complex profile combines rocker zones at the contact points with a camber under the feet and a flat section between the bindings. This unique profile delivers a versatile ride, ensuring that no matter what or where you ride, you know that this board never feels wanting.
As with all Salomon boards, the Dancehaul is a tour de force of snowboard technology. Heading up its advanced construction is the Aspen Select Popster core. This advanced wood core uses hand-selected Aspen, specially profiled along the length, to ensure that the flex is perfectly aligned with where you need that power and pop to deliver the optimum flex characteristics. To this, Salomon then adds their unique Ghost Basalt stringers structural layers. This combination of medium-density bi-ax glass reinforced with two Basalt stringers running tip to tail delivers the perfect balance of surfy feel with a responsive and dynamic drive.
Salomon fit it with a high-grade sintered base to ensure that the Dancehaul can use its high-performance construction. Finished with a fine stone grind, it delivers excellent glide across various temperatures and snow conditions.
