As one of the most influential snowboarders of all time, Noah Salasnek's smooth skate-influenced riding was one of the defining aspects of 90's snowboarding. His ability to take that unique riding style and apply it to any terrain explains why he was such a favourite in the video era of the sport. With defining parts in classic videos like the TB series, Fear of a Flat Planet, Simple Pleasures and many others, Noah was the face of freestyle snowboarding for nearly a decade. His pro models were equally as iconic as Noah himself, and the most iconic of these was his 1993 Sims Nub. As probably the most recognised and coveted board in the sport's history, its skate truck base graphic became part of Noah's identity. Tragically, in 2017, Noah lost his battle with liver cancer and the snowboarding world lost one of its great pioneers. To celebrate Noah's legacy in snowboarding, Sims has released this very limited-edition recreation of that 1993 Nub. Based on the new Mystery Lunch, this traditional cambered twin tip, complete with early-rise in the tip and tail and wide riding platform, delivers classic freestyle performance but with the ability to also kill it out on the mountain. Shape Overview: True Twin
The Nub Salasnek 93 is a classic blunt tip and tail twin profile designed around the Lunch Tray concept. Combining a wide riding platform with low swing weight tips, the Nub Salasnek 93 delivers a balanced and stable ride, giving you all the control you ever need. Thanks to that extra width, you can downsize this board without compromising performance. Because the board is wide, don't think it's going to be sluggish; thanks to the mid-tight sidecut, it still feels responsive underfoot.

A single convex arc between the board's contact points ensures predictable edge hold, load, and rebound as pressure is exerted and expelled throughout the rider's turn.
Construction
The Nub Salasnek 93 utilises some of the most advanced materials available in its construction. Heading this up is the advanced Mod 4 Core. Combining poplar, bamboo and paulownia wood in a balanced array makes this core lighter and provides increased pop, strength, and a lively feel. Sims's designers then profile the core with their advanced Wave Form profile. This innovative design creates thick and thin zones through the length of the board, allowing the designers to create the perfect balance of drive, flex, and control. Sims then uses a 3-way structural layer to step up the response that combines Light Trii-Tex fibreglass at 0º, 45º, and 90º. These deliver high pop, rebound, and flex and increase torsional stiffness. To ramp up power even further, Sims add a 50mm carbon stringer running through the centre of the board. This stringer powers up the flex through the length, giving the Nub Salanek 93 a powerful and poppy flex while adding extra stability.
