Construction
When it comes to construction, the Vanilla puts most boards at this price point to shame. Heading up the high-end built is the responsive Masters Core. Built utilising lightweight poplar with two tip-to-tail bamboo stringers running lengthwise through the centre, it delivers a smooth yet overall poppy feel. Sims then uses a 2-way layup that combines Light fibreglass at 0º and 90º. This creates a more progressive flex ideally suited to lighter riders. To add an extra level of pop through the length of the board, Sims add two tip-to-tail carbon stringers running either side of the insert pack close to the sidecut. These increase power through the length and improve both response and control on the edge.
