The Vanish utilises an advanced fully directional shape to deliver outstanding performance both in the pow and on the piste. Perfect for hard-charging riders, its combination of super-tight sidecut and advanced profile makes it perfect for riders who want a board that makes blasting around look smooth and effortless.
Profile: Traditional Camber
The Vanish's setback traditional camber profile is formed from a single convex arc between the board's contact points. This responsive profile powers up the whole length of the edge, ensuring predictable edge hold and rebound as pressure is exerted and expelled throughout the rider's turn.
Construction
The Vanish utilises some of the most advanced materials available when it comes to construction. Heading this up is the advanced Unitive Core. This tip-to-tail wood core features Light poplar construction with wider bands of more rigid Standard Poplar running along the edges. These stiffer wider zones deliver increased control and stability at high speeds. Sims’s designers then profile the core with their Directional Wave Form profile. This innovative design creates thick and thin zones that match the setback of the camber profile, increasing drive, flex, and control. Sims then uses a 3-way structural layer to step up the response that combines Light Tri-Tex fibreglass at 0º, 45º, and 90º. These deliver high pop, rebound, and flex and increase torsional stiffness. To ramp up power even further, Sims add a 40mm thick Basalt stringer running through the centre of the core. This powers up the flex through the length giving the Vanish a powerful and poppy flex while adding extra stability.
