Directional boards are designed to travel forward. The Shape differs from front to rear, whilst the flex, sidecut and stance are setback from the centre. Directional boards have a longer nose and shorter tail; this increases lift and float. The setback stance and flex enhance carving performance.

Diamond tips are a great way to get volume into a nose or tail without increasing swing weight. By adding extra length to the tips and then removing more excess material away with a straight cut rather than a curve, you channel snow under the nose, increasing lift without adding weight. Genius.

DEATH GRIP™ is a design theory that incorporates a reverse sidecut arc in the mid-section of the board. This reverse camber arc provides a point of contact to apply pressure and retain control throughout the turn in both freestyle and freeride settings.

3D Core profiling allows the board designer to optimise energy flow to the areas of the board that will enhance performance. This is usally found at the nose and tail directing energy into the edges of the board rather than into the tips where it filters out rather than adding power and response. In addition, the thinner core profile in those none performance enhancing areas of the core helps reduce overall weight.
