Shape Overview
This board is all about tight turns, stable landings, and float. Tapered Midbite blends the response of a narrow waist width with the stability of a wider nose and narrower tail for powder flotation. The advanced design steps a single section of each sidecut inwards between the insert packs. This single, extended disruption of the sidecut between the bindings cheats the waist width narrower, providing a quicker edge-to-edge response. Meanwhile, from your bindings out to the end of the sidecut, it maintains a wider board width that improves float in pow and is a stable platform. The Step inwards on the front is deeper than the Step outwards on the back, creating a slight taper in the tail, allowing the tail to be just a little narrower than the nose but without losing the twin feel.
Profile
The Warca's camber profile is an update of what we would call a traditional camber. By starting the full-length camber profile just after the contact points, you get all the benefits of a conventional camber but also create a smoother, hook-free ride. The Camber profile dissipates the rider's energy more evenly along the board's edge, giving a more stable and responsive ride as the edge is engaged along its entire length.
Construction
As you would expect for JP's board, the Warca doesn't hold back in construction. Heading up its high-quality build is the advanced wood core. This responsive core combines durable poplar and lightweight paulownia with bamboo stringers running through the centre to deliver a poppy and powerful flex through the length of the board while reducing overall weight. Yes then creates structural layers formed from a torsionally responsive tri-ax weave glass fibre. This responsive glass stiffens up the torsional flex of the board, ensuring that no matter how hard you push, you can be confident that the Warca can take it all in its stride.
Base
As the Warca is about performance, Yes step up the base material to a Sintered True. Sintered True is harder and more expensive than extruded, and it can be faster for those that ride aggressively fast.
