It's safe to say that Northwave's Decade has firmly established itself as one of the very best performance snowboard boots on the market. It's combination of state of the art design and construction, all day riding comfort and class leading levels of control and response, has made it a firm favourite of experienced riders. Combining a mid/stiff upper with Northwave's advanced Double Crossbow sole unit, creates a boot that not only delivers outstanding all mountain performance but also gives freeestyle riders that powerful but cushioned ride to take on even the biggest of park booters.

LACING:

SUPERLACE
A Speed Lacing System that allows the closure of two different boot areas, the quarter part and the collar part, in order to allow you to select the perfect feeling on each part and improve comfort and foot stability. Your boot will be closed quickly and will stay tight and perform all day.

540° HEEL RETENTION
The boot laces pass through pre-curved lace loops which helps to minimize friction. When the laces are pulled to close the boot, they are simultaneously pulling the webbing where the lace loops are linked tight increasing heel stability. This mechanism is a result of the webbing passing through a hole from the side of the boot tightening the liner over the ankle area. The more the lace is pulled the more power will be transferred through the ankle area, increasing heel retention performance and foot stability.

LINER:

TF3
Advanced lining material constructed of Thermo-Fit Foam enhances target fit zones that can be customized instantly with a heater or over time from natural body heat for the perfect fit. Malleable fit areas are anatomically designed and reinforced with injected memory foam for better fit-retention and comfort for your feet. Brand new webbing on the liner, and with loops that have been positioned on the edges of the liner, exclusive tongue side-cut naturally adapts to your instep, permitting the most custom fit, and distributing power transmission of equally through the surface of the liner make this fit unique. Updated Liner Webbing: Northwave analysed athletes' movements to avoid uncomfortable pressure points and place the padding only where necessary and at the right thickness to create the perfect interface, even matching the binding's ankle strap. Power strap for superior fit: it gives an extra prop on the upper part of the liner providing a more secure liner closure supported by the liner lace lock. Comfortable.

LINER LACE LOCK
Northwave's lace lock is built with a quick release system to ensure efficiency and reduce lace slippage. Just squeeze the two ends of the lock together to loosen or tighten boots quickly and simply.

EVA FOOTBED
Northwave footbeds are developed to perfectly match the Strobel Construction Technology used on Northwave TF liners. Different EVA materials are combined to provide the best possible level of comfort and power transmission.

CUSHIONING:

DOUBLE CROSSBOW OUTSOLE
The second generation of Crossbow takes the weightlessness and softness of its special EVA compound, and is updated with the ultimate Double Crossbow system, which results in the best performing sole on the market with four different grip areas. The new crossbow system provides a perfect balance of power transmission and cushioning. This outsole design is developed to allow maximum flexibility and the perfect feel throughout your foot.

FLEX AND RESPONSE:

THERMO WELDING
This technology brings Northwave distinct advantages both in terms of enabling them to integrate different materials and maintain a durable and resistant seamless outsole. This is particularly important in the ankle where there is no interruption of the upper boot technology bringing you progressive support from the heel to the calf. The visible asymmetrical y differentiates the three zones in the boot: it provides a stronger support on the outside for increased control when pressing, buttering and spinning; more flexibility on lateral inner boot; and lighter still above.

NORTHWAVE FIT GUIDE:

Northwave generally fit wider in the forefoot but are still pretty narrow around the heel ensuring those riders with wider feet still retain that solid foot hold.
